Reactions have continued to trail comments by former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani following remarks by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on the potential of the akara business.
The debate began after Oluremi Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to consider small-scale businesses such as akara production, saying the venture requires little start-up capital and can provide a sustainable source of income.
In a post on his official X account on Monday, June 29, 2026, Shehu Sani urged Nigerians to assess the First Lady’s performance by comparing her activities with those of her recent predecessors.
“Be fair, use facts and figures and just compare her outings with that of her recent predecessors,” he wrote.
